The sixth edition of the Wool Festival, co-organised by ACTYVA S.COOP on 18 and 19 October 2025, is an annual gathering of professionals from the wool sector, as well as lovers of this natural fibre and members of the public from the area and from different parts of the country, who come together every year to promote the benefits for the community and the region of using local resources as precious as our local wool.
Two days packed with activities in the Valley, where wool is discussed from many perspectives: craftsmanship, training, history, culture, art, and where there are activities for all audiences. Training activities specialising in wool techniques, educational activities linked to dissemination and experimentation, meetings with producers, conferences related to current issues in the sector, music, and art exhibitions.
The main activities included in the ATLAS project, subsidised by Interreg-Sudoe, were training workshops, community revitalisation activities, talks and debates related to the revitalisation of the rural world through the use of local resources. We can say that this sixth edition has been a resounding success in terms of participation, influence and impact on the region, making it clear that this is an event that is growing and becoming more established every year.
