El centro de investigación biomédica Navarrabiomed ha acogido el primer workshop internacional del proyecto europeo MAG-SUDOE, una iniciativa pionera que impulsa la mentoría profesional en asesoramiento genético para mejorar el bienestar de los equipos sanitarios y reforzar la calidad asistencial en los servicios de genética clínica. El asesoramiento genético es un acompañamiento a individuos y familiares para poder entender y adaptarse a las consecuencias médicas, psicológicas y familiares de una determinada enfermedad genética, así como para tomar decisiones informadas. Con la implementación de una mentoría en asesoramiento genético se pretende proponer un proceso estructurado de apoyo a profesionales que trabajan con casos clínicos complejos y emocionalmente intensos.
