Complete calls

After the success of the first two calls, which allowed 76 projects to be selected and funded (i.e., 89% of the available ERDF allocation), the Sudoe program will launch a final programming phase with several different calls in 2026, adopting a differentiated strategic approach.

"Strategic Projects" call

This call will target large-scale projects with a significant territorial impact, limited to two specific priority objectives:

OS 2.4

Promote adaptation to climate change and disaster risk prevention, as well as resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches.

  • Exclusive focus:
    • Fire risk prevention and management
  • ERDF allocation:
    • Maximum of €5.8M
OS 4.5

Ensure equal access to healthcare and strengthen the resilience of health systems, particularly primary healthcare, while simultaneously promoting the transition from institutional care to care in family and local settings.

  • Exclusive focus:
    • Challenges of an aging population
  • ERDF allocation:
    • Maximum of €3M

These “strategic” projects will be distinguished from the previous ones by the type of activities to be implemented, the expected results, and the composition of the consortia.

Priority 4 Call

Strengthen Sudoe’s impact capacities in the territories.

Priority 4 of the cooperation program “Strengthen Sudoe’s impact capacities in the territories” aims to capitalize on the results of approved projects. For this reason, the types of projects expected will also differ from those programmed during the first and second calls. The planned activities, expected results, and consortia must meet different conditions and criteria.
  • ERDF allocation:
    • €5.3M

Valorization calls – reserved for approved projects

Calls exclusive to approved projects

Two valorization calls will be opened exclusively for projects approved in the first and second calls. These calls aim for the activities undertaken by these valorization projects to amplify the results of the projects with public administrations, organizations, and agencies at the local, regional, national, or supranational level.

The information regarding the first valorization call reserved for projects from the first call will be released in June 2026.

Schedule and upcoming steps

The program authorities are currently preparing the specific conditions for these calls. More information will be released before the end of 2025.
