From 24 to 26 February 2026, the Agrobotics-DiTwins project took part in Transfiere – European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation, held at FYCMA (Málaga, Spain).

As one of the leading European forums for knowledge transfer and technological collaboration, Transfiere provided an excellent platform to strengthen the project’s visibility and engagement within the R&D&I ecosystem.

Advancing Living Labs and Service Development

On 24 February, partners held a technical meeting focused on two key implementation pillars: the definition of the project’s Living Labs and the development of a joint service catalogue.

This working session allowed partners to align methodologies, clarify operational frameworks and define the next steps in deploying services across the Sudoe area. It also strengthened coordination within the consortium and consolidated DESMOR’s integration as a new associated partner.

Live Technological Demonstration

Throughout the three days of the Forum, Agrobotics-DiTwins featured an exhibition stand within the Málaga TechPark space. A highlight of the participation was the live technological demonstration delivered by the IMECH team from the University of Málaga.

At the stand, visitors were able to immerse themselves in a virtual reality (VR) simulation and explore a digital twin applied to seed sowing in a greenhouse environment. This interactive experience allowed them to visualise how robotic systems and digital models can replicate real agricultural processes, test scenarios in advance and optimise performance before implementation in the field.

This demonstration illustrated how robotics and digital twins can support smarter decision-making, optimise agricultural processes and reduce risks before real-world implementation. By validating solutions in a digital environment first, farmers and agri-food companies can improve efficiency and sustainability while minimising investment risks.

Project Pitch: Towards Agriculture 5.0

On 25 February, the project was presented during a dedicated pitch session delivered by Víctor Muñoz (University of Málaga). The presentation positioned Agrobotics-DiTwins as a concrete example of effective knowledge transfer, combining advanced research, living lab methodologies and real-sector application to support the transition towards Agriculture 5.0.

Strengthening Collaboration and Outreach

The project was represented by partners from: University of Málaga, Málaga TechPark, Data CoLAB, NERA, University of Algarve, Elche University Miguel Hernández and DESMOR as associated partner.

Their joint participation reinforced the transnational dimension of Agrobotics-DiTwins across Spain and Portugal.

Participation in Transfiere generated strong interest from research centres, technology companies, public authorities and innovation stakeholders. The stand facilitated valuable exchanges and opened opportunities for future collaboration in agrobotics, digitalisation and sustainable agriculture.

The event also received media coverage at local and national level, further amplifying the project’s visibility beyond the Forum.

Agrobotics-DiTwins continues to bridge research and agricultural practice, promoting digital transformation and sustainable innovation across the Sudoe region.
