The Advanced Chainsaw Handling Course will begin on 9 October. The practical sessions will take place at the Zunbeltz and La Planilla estates, owned by the Government of Navarre and located in the Yerri / Deierri Valley. The training will run until 24 October from 9:00 to 15:00.
The training, which is eminently practical in nature, will be free of charge for students. It is part of one of the pilot projects included in the European BIO4RES project (Forest biomass and fire prevention, an opportunity for rural resilience), co-financed by the Interreg Sudoe Programme, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Government of Navarre.
The action, coordinated by NASUVINSA, with the collaboration of the Centre de Ciéncia i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya, will be delivered by Arpana Formación Forestal, with the collaboration of ADEMAN, the Association of Wood Entrepreneurs of Navarre, and the Valle de Yerri / Deierri Town Council, entities associated with the project.
The initiative seeks to strengthen the skills of professionals in the forestry sector, improving training in the safe and efficient use of chainsaws, as well as in practices related to sustainable forest management and fire prevention.
