Training of the French SME Chrome Dur Industriel in sustainable processes within the RESINSURF Project

As part of the RESINSURF project, the partner entity UT2A conducted an intensive two-day training on the management of trivalent chromium electrolytes (a sustainable alternative to traditional electrolytes for chrome plating processes) at Chrome Dur Industriel’s facilities. This training, held in the context of seeking sustainable alternatives to hexavalent chromium, covered key topics such as electrolyte chemistry, analysis techniques, and bath supervision.

The event not only provided valuable technical knowledge but also fostered enriching discussions among participants. These exchanges are essential to strengthen collective expertise and improve support offered to project partners. Chrome Dur Industriel, a leader in hard chrome coating applications, stood out as an exceptional host, creating a conducive environment for idea exchange and collaboration.

The RESINSURF project, coordinated by CIDETEC, aims to develop safer and more ecological technologies to replace hexavalent chromium, complying with European regulations and protecting health and the environment. The project is part of the Interreg SUDOE Program and co-financed by the European Union.
