On 4–5 June 2025, the An-Gel Sudoe project consortium held its third in-person meeting at the Escola Superior Agrária of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal). The meeting provided an opportunity to review progress on technical tasks and coordinate the next steps of the project, which aims to develop strategies to reduce damage caused by spring frosts in agricultural systems across southwestern Europe.

The sessions highlighted ongoing work in high-precision thermal mapping, the creation of participatory technical committees, pilot trials on climate change adaptation, and activities related to monitoring, socioeconomic evaluation and the development of an early warning system.

The programme also included a field visit to the experimental plot in Carrazeda de Ansiães, where partners observed the implementation of practical solutions designed to mitigate frost impacts in real conditions.

The consortium expresses its gratitude to the Portuguese partners for their warm welcome and excellent organisation of the meeting.
