On 29 April 2025, the NATMed PRIMA project kicked off its first coaching activity, focused on improving water management and soil health in Mediterranean agriculture. This inaugural session, to which the I-ReWater project contributed, counted with the participation of Javier J. Cancela, coordinator of I-ReWater and professor at the Campus Terra of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
During the conference, Cancela presented innovative strategies for soil management, highlighting the importance of reducing pollutants and improving water percolation. Conservation agriculture practices were discussed that not only optimise water retention, but also favour soil structure.
Participants received practical tools that will enable them to address environmental challenges and improve the sustainability of their crops.
