I-ReWater participates in a European Green Week event

Participación de I-ReWater en la Semana Verde Europea

European Green Week 2025, organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment, is being held from 3 to 5 June in Brussels (Belgium) under the slogan ‘Clean, Competitive & Circular’. This event has been held for 25 years and seeks to explore how circularity can transform our European economy.

In parallel to the main conferences, side events will take place across Europe during the month of June. In this context, the I-ReWater project will be present at a conference organised in Spain:

24 June in Seville: Conference entitled ‘Circular Water Economy. Use of Regenerated Water in Agriculture’, organised by AMAYA – Andalusian Environment and Water Agency. This event will focus on raising awareness of the viability of using reclaimed water in irrigated agriculture, and will address key issues such as the legal context in Spain and Andalusia, the challenges for farmers and the opportunities for new projects such as I-ReWater for sustainable water resource management in irrigated agriculture in the SUDOE area.

This conference is an opportunity to delve deeper into sustainable water management. The I-ReWater project is of great interest to the event as its main objective is to improve water resource management in agriculture by integrating the use of reclaimed urban water in agricultural crops and considering environmental aspects that ensure its proper use in light of the current climate crisis.

European Green Week 2025 and the parallel events represent a key platform for knowledge exchange and the promotion of circular solutions that contribute to a more sustainable Europe.
