Kick-off Meeting in Est Creuse, France

Launch of the RTL – Rural Transition Labs Project

On 30 and 31 January, the RTL – Rural Transition Labs project, co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe VI Programme, held its kick-off meeting in the Creuse department of France.

The purpose of this inaugural session was to introduce all participants, formally present the project and clarify each partner’s role. Key aspects of project management activities were defined.

Working groups focused on developing a shared understanding of “Sustainability” through participatory design, co-defining the concept of Rural Transition Labs, and exploring the Dao-Centric Multidimensional Transition (DMT) Framework and its design flow. This holistic, systematic design approach will underpin the Rural Transition Labs.

The RTL will be led by the French rural development association RURENER, and includes the following partners: Ayuntamiento de Cartagena, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Syndicat Mixte Est Creuse Développement, Comunidade Intermunicipal do Ave, Município da Póvoa de Lanhoso and CETENMA.
