On March 26th, SPSP took part in the “One Health” Meeting held in Leiria, where it carried out dissemination activities to present the RePo-SUDOE project to professionals and organizations involved in health and innovation.
During the event, SPSP outlined the main objectives and lines of action of RePo-SUDOE, focused on advancing drug repurposing as a strategy to identify new therapeutic uses for existing medicines. This approach enables more efficient use of resources, shortens development timelines, and provides faster responses to unmet medical needs.
The project’s potential to strengthen biomedical research and support the sustainability of healthcare systems was also highlighted, particularly in a context of increasing demand and the need for innovative solutions.
Participation in the meeting contributed to increasing the visibility of the RePo-SUDOE project and raising awareness among attendees about the strategic value of drug repurposing in healthcare.
