With the aim of improving knowledge about the use of reclaimed water in agricultural irrigation, the 15 pilots of the I-ReWater project will host awareness-raising and open-door days.
The open days will allow farmers, researchers, politicians, the media and opinion leaders to tour the pilot facilities and see first-hand how the proposed solutions are being implemented.
One of the important tasks of I-ReWater is to improve general knowledge about reclaimed water by promoting the exchange of information between all stakeholders. In this regard, during the visit, attendees will be informed about the benefits and safety of using reclaimed water for crop irrigation.

The I-ReWater consortium will organise four participatory workshops in the SUDOE territory to contribute to the ‘Transnational Strategy for the Use of Regenerated Water’.
As part of the I-ReWater project, the consortium will organise four participatory workshops in Spain, Andorra, Portugal and France, one in each of the countries involved in the research, to contribute to the ‘Transnational Strategy for the Use of Regenerated Water’.
During these meetings, technical staff, public administrations and agents from the water value chain will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and opinions on the use of reclaimed water in agricultural irrigation, the consumption of foods in which it has been used, and to evaluate different aspects of the I-ReWater project.
The contributions collected will be analysed for inclusion in the Strategy, which is one of the main outcomes of I-ReWater, together with the Regenerated Water Resources in Agriculture HUB.
