OPEN2PRESERVE provides a sustainable economic management system to reduce fire risks within Southwestern Europe. Thus, the project contributes to the preservation of ecosystems and to the ecological quality of open mountain spaces with high environmental value. In this sense, the Project is built upon the combination of technical fires and pastoralism and provides training to forest workers, solutions adapted to the territorial features and jobs.
