This document aims to guide irrigators, both individuals and members of irrigation communities (CCRR), in selecting the most suitable digital solution for their needs and objectives.
To facilitate the decision-making process, a series of interactive questions are provided regarding the type of user, the purpose of the inquiry, the area of interest, available investment, and accessibility. The answers will direct the user to a set of solutions tailored to their requirements.
The interactive guide covers the following topics:
Training in Digitalization:
Free online and in-person courses on irrigation, remote sensing, sensors, robotics, IoT, and virtual assistants.
Access to Climate Data:
Access to historical data and forecasts for Portugal, Spain, and France.
Agrotech Companies:
Information to help locate Agrotech companies and solutions.
Monitoring with Sensors:
Plant: Leaf moisture sensors, remote sensors (satellite and drones), dendrometers, and trunk water potential sensors.
Soil: Moisture sensors, electrical conductivity sensors, temperature sensors, tensiometers, lysimeters, and soil water potential sensors.
Climate: Rain gauges, anemometers, pyranometers, temperature and humidity sensors.
Irrigation Network: Pressure sensors and flow meters.
Irrigation Water Quality: Sensors for pH levels, electrical conductivity, nitrates, phosphates, suspended solids, and dissolved oxygen.
Decision-Support Tools:
Tools for irrigation management, energy management, and pest/disease control.
The guide distinguishes between solutions that require or do not require investment in sensors and considers the use of reclaimed water.
