MOAI LABS, a pioneering Sudoe project on the loneliness of the elderly

MOAI LABS is the name of the first transnational laboratory dedicated to open research and innovation in the field of social isolation and loneliness of the elderly.

The project, which had an ERDF budget of 1.1 M €, began on November 1, 2020 and lasted 27 months.

MOAI LABS was launched with partners from Spain, France and Portugal, who worked towards the adoption of solutions aimed at reducing loneliness among the elderly and increasing their autonomy. The solutions developed by the project combined scientific and technical knowledge with the real life experience of older people, who were fully involved in the co-creation of methodologies.

All the solutions proposed by the project can be consulted on its website.
