Third Cultur-Monts meeting in the Eastern Pyrenees

From 8 to 11 September, the third working meeting of the Cultur-Monts project will take place in the municipalities of Ripoll and Queralbs (Catalonia).

Over the next few days, the Cultur-Monts international team will continue to make progress in the implementation of the project, combining internal work sessions of the three task groups with field trips to recognise the heritage linked to the landscape. The aim is to understand in detail the characteristics of the mountain cultural landscapes of the Ripollès-Cerdanya pilot window.

The members of the consortium will visit different emblematic points of Ripoll’s heritage (the monastery, the Ethnographic Museum, the spaces of La Farga), as well as the valleys of Ribes (Vall de NĂºria and Coma de Vaca) and Camprodon (TregurĂ  de Dalt, Collada de Fontlletera and Coll dels Tres Pics).

The conference programme focuses on the participation of local agents in the joint identification of needs, expectations and opportunities linked to the project.

It is planned to set up an inter-sectoral knowledge transfer roundtable to lay the foundations for the future socio-cultural innovation cluster. We want local communities to participate in the design of actions and resources, in order to move jointly towards participatory governance, which will enable the sustainability of the results achieved by Cultur-Monts at the end of the project.

The Institut CatalĂ  d’Arqueologia ClĂ ssica (ICAC), main beneficiary, and Ripoll Town Council, beneficiary partner, are the organisers of the meeting. They have the collaboration of Queralbs Town Council, Vall de NĂºria Station and the Parc Natural de les Capçaleres del Ter i del Freser (PNCTF), which are associated partners of our consortium.

Everything is ready for the discovery of the high mountain cultural landscapes of Ripollès!
