The second pilot action we’ll jointly develop to support rural agri-food third places in the SUDOE area is a boost and acceleration program. This program, based on individual and collective co-development workshops, will be adapted to the territorial contexts of the three countries and then tested by:
FAB’LIM in Occitanie – France (targeting Aveyron, Hérault, Gers, and Ariège)
Coop TL in Nouvelle-Aquitaine – France (targeting Haute-Vienne, Landes, and Gironde)
Fund. Repoblación in Andalusia – Spain (targeting Seville, Cadiz, Granada), Cantabria, with potential cooperation in Toledo and Ciudad Real.
We’ll form a transnational working group that, based on the results of our state-of-the-art review (A1.1 and A1.2), will define the common objectives and guidelines for this program, as well as the monitoring and evaluation indicators, which will be documented with the support of the CSIC.
Similar to the pilot public intervention mechanisms, thematic priorities will be established at a regional or local scale, in consultation with stakeholders in the target territories, to account for the specific needs of each context. Two types of support may be offered:
Support for the emergence of new agri-food third places, driven by citizens, local authorities, or rural entrepreneurs.
Support for the consolidation of existing initiatives that offer innovative solutions in their territory.
