Pilot Implementation: Co-defining Cultural Programming Through Nodes (Heritage Revalorization)
The implementation of this pilot is a core deliverable of the project, serving as one of four concrete activities where the participatory methodology for co-defining cultural programming will be tested through designated nodes.
Specifically, heritage revalorization actions will involve working on concrete heritage assets within the territory, highlighting their cultural, natural, or anthropological value. While a specific territorial route isn’t proposed here, the ultimate goal is also to promote tourism from a non-extractive perspective, committed to sustainability.
As with the previously mentioned pathways, special attention will be given to developing participatory processes that consider the following fundamental aspects:
Community participation with shared decision-making focused on the community’s ownership of resources.
Revalorization of intangible heritage, placing the community at the heart of culture.
Promotion of local entrepreneurship and economy, with a focus on counteracting seasonal fluctuations.
Resource conservation, aiming for minimal environmental impact and territorial restoration.
Focus on equity, inclusion, and urban-rural rebalancing.
Considering these aspects, the co-design of heritage revalorization actions with relevant stakeholders and local communities could include:
Identification of cultural or natural heritage resources to be highlighted.
Historical and anthropological documentation of heritage resources.
Actions related to conservation, consolidation, accessibility, and signage of heritage.
Training for local guides, mediation with communities, and design of community management models.
Economic revitalization actions centered around heritage resources.
Disseminion and tourism promotion actions.
