The Spanish partner CTA presented the project and its work plan at several workshops and side events organised within the framework of the forum, promoted by the European Commission.

CTA (Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía) took part in the European Ocean Days, which held their third edition in Brussels from 2 to 6 March this year, with the aim of advancing and supporting the implementation of the European Ocean Pact, promoted by the European Commission.
The event once again brought together in the Belgian capital hundreds of industry leaders, start-ups, investors, policymakers, scientists, SMEs and representatives from the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, as well as island and coastal communities, to discuss the future of Europe’s oceans and water systems.
As part of the programme of activities, the Spanish partner had the opportunity to present the SOLLAGUA project in several workshops and side events organised to exchange ideas, address emerging challenges and scale up innovative solutions. Among these are the nature-based solutions (NBS) developed by the project in France, Portugal and Spain to give a second life to used water and move towards more sustainable water management.
Beyond the SUDOE area
Particularly noteworthy was the session dedicated to the Water Resilience Research and Innovation Strategy, which included three panel discussions focusing on key priorities for the future of water in Europe: addressing knowledge gaps to restore and protect the water cycle; fostering a water-smart economy that integrates sustainability and innovation; and developing tools to accelerate the uptake of emerging solutions such as nature-based solutions and digital technologies.
Through its participation in these forums, SOLLAGUA strengthens its visibility within the European water innovation ecosystem, demonstrating how collaborative research can transform scientific knowledge into scalable solutions with an impact beyond the SUDOE area.
