Javier J. Cancela, coordinator of I-ReWater, took part on Wednesday, March 25 in the webinar on “Water Regeneration and Reuse in the Wine Sector”, organized by the PTV (Spanish Wine Technology Platform) in collaboration with the Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organisation and AgroBank (CaixaBank).
Cancela presented the progress and results of the I-ReWater project—an Interreg Sudoe initiative focused on the use of reclaimed water in irrigated agriculture—and, more specifically, the three vineyard pilot sites being developed in the regions of Alentejo (Portugal), Occitanie (southern France), and La Rioja (Spain) by project partners Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária, IP (INIAV, IP), INRAE Occitanie-Montpellier, and the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences (ICVV).
Around 80 people joined the session, reflecting the strong interest in this topic among the audience.
