From 17 to 19 June 2026, Madrid will host the 2nd REUSE-Euromed Conference on water reuse in Europe and the Mediterranean region. The event is co-organised by the I-ReWater project together with the Spanish Association of Irrigation and Drainage (AERYD) and PROePLA (Campus Terra – University of Santiago de Compostela), in collaboration with the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and La Vega Innova.
The conference reflects a unique convergence of expertise in water reuse, irrigation, circular economy, wastewater treatment, environmental biotechnology, nature-based solutions, and integrated water resources management. This diversity of perspectives will foster high-level dialogue and strengthen cooperation to address one of the most pressing challenges of our time: ensuring sustainable water use and resilience in water-scarce regions.
With contributions from international organisations, universities, public authorities, research centres, technology providers, and irrigation communities, the 2nd REUSE-Euromed Conference will serve as a key platform to exchange knowledge, present cutting-edge research, and advance innovation in water reuse.
