The application and demonstration phase (GT2) of the FRUCTHOR-IA project is now active on the ground and generating strong media and social interest. In France, within the New Aquitaine region, activities focused on integrating Artificial Intelligence and robotics solutions into truffle farming have received extensive coverage in the regional press.

Driven by project partners Chambre d’Agriculture Dordogne and Conseil Départemental de la Dordogne, these field actions were featured in in-depth reports by high-circulation and influential rural media outlets, such as the Sud Ouest newspaper, the INFO.FR portal, and the Bien en Périgord platform.

The journalistic coverage highlights how FRUCTHOR-IA’s advanced technology is being tested under real-world conditions to modernize truffle cultivation. By pairing the precision of collaborative robotics with the expertise of local growers, the project aims to optimize agricultural tasks, address labour shortage challenges, and improve the sector’s sustainability within the Sudoe space.

This media visibility proves that European innovation is moving beyond laboratory walls, directly reaching the production ecosystem and rural communities.
