The Médio Tejo Social Fair took place between May 22nd and 24th, as part of the Abrantes Riverside Market initiative. Since this was a pre-planned event that brought together several social economy organizations in the region, the Médio Tejo Inter-Institutional Coordination Center (CIM Médio Tejo) collaborated in its organization. Furthermore, and under the ResilienteES project CIM Médio Tejo introduced a specific activity to the event’s program: a round table discussion entitled “Conversations of the Tejo River – Third Places as Spaces of Community and Well-being,” which was held on May 23rd, from 5 to 7 pm.
The program also included a roundtable discussion on the topic “Conversations of Tejo – Third Places as Spaces of Community and Well-being.” The discussion featured five organizations: CIM Médio Tejo; TAGUS (Local Action Group and local partner of the ResilientES project); Human Coop (a cooperative working in the social sector); Art’Abrantes (an artisans’ association); Além Mundus (a cultural association with theater projects in rural areas); and Casa do Povo de São Facundo (a traditional community association). Other organizations that make up the project’s network of stakeholders were also invited to attend and participate.
