On 16 June 2026, Agrobotics-DiTwins was presented in Tavira, Algarve, during the H2Oefficient 2.0 Field Day, focused on efficient water management in avocado cultivation.
The activity was led by NERA and the University of Algarve, in collaboration with AlgarOrange, COTHN and JBI Agriculture, and brought together 24 stakeholders from the agricultural sector, including farmers, companies, technical experts, institutional representatives, researchers and representatives from CCDR Algarve.
Participants learned about the project’s objectives, future activities and diagnostic survey. The programme also included a technical visit to the avocado orchard of JBI Agriculture, providing a practical setting to discuss water efficiency, sustainability, digitalisation and innovation in agriculture.
