The Local Cooperation Festival took place on 4 July 2026 at the Espace Claude Nougaro in Langon, as well as outdoors along the scenic banks of the Garonne River. The event was organised by CAP Solidaire, with the support of the City of Langon, the Gironde Department, and the Sud-Gironde Community of Municipalities.
The festival brought together more than twenty organisations from the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE), representing a wide range of sectors, including environmental protection, social inclusion, youth services and local food initiatives. Information stands were set up both inside the venue and outdoors, with each organisation offering its own activities and demonstrations to showcase its work. A local community radio station also broadcast live from the festival throughout the day, providing valuable media coverage and giving each participating organisation the opportunity to present its initiatives, share its story and highlight its values. To create a welcoming and festive atmosphere, a local festival committee organised children’s activities, games, refreshments and musical entertainment.
The highlight of the day was the conference programme organised as part of the ResilientES project. We were honoured to welcome two experts in territorial cooperation: Timothée Duverger, Associate Professor at Sciences Po Bordeaux, and Frédéric Bosqué, founder of the TERA project. Their presentations provided a rich opportunity for discussion on a range of topics, including the revitalisation of rural areas, the role of local currencies, and, above all, the importance of strengthening cooperation between the different stakeholders within a territory.
