The Social Economy Fair took place on June 30, 2026, at the CID Sierra Suroeste in Jerez de los Caballeros (Badajoz). Organized by AEXLAB, the event was part of the European project ResilientES (INTERREG SUDOE), which aims to foster socioeconomic development and retain population in rural areas.
The event brought together cooperatives, worker-owned companies, entrepreneurs, and public authorities. Attendees participated in presentations, experience-sharing panels, and networking sessions, and were introduced to the Catalog of Endogenous Resources designed to boost business ideas in rural settings.
The Fair featured a number of participants who shared their experience, knowledge, and commitment to the social economy: Raúl Gordillo Barroso, Carmen López, Cristina Fernández Vega, Diego Sánchez Duque, Elena Díaz Martínez, Irene Eloísa Alzas Dries, Ruth Guerola Olivares, Francesc Abad Rigla, María Soto Rodríguez, Alberto Macías Labrador, Miguel Ángel Herrera Milán, Ángel Pacheco, and Nuria Arrabal Hermosel.
Various organizations also hosted stands at the event to share their projects, demonstrating that the social economy is a key tool for driving the development of our regions.
