AgroSpace participates in the sixth edition of the Space Economy Congress in Barcelona

The AgroSpace project was present at the sixth edition of the Space Economy Congress in Barcelona, a landmark event for the Catalan and Spanish space sector.

The event, held on 9 and 10 July 2026 at La Llotja de Mar (Barcelona), brought together over 1,000 participants. Its programme was packed with presentations and panel discussions led by speakers of international prestige, including representatives from space agencies such as NASA, the Spanish Space Agency (AEE), the UK Space Agency or the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna —the guest space ecosystem at the event— as well as leading companies and key players from the Catalan space ecosystem, currently a leading space hub.

The Congress provides a space to understand and leverage the opportunities generated by the space sector, as well as to establish connections and explore investment opportunities across the entire value chain, connecting key players to accelerate the adoption of solutions based on space technologies in fields such as sustainability, mobility, agriculture, civil protection, digital infrastructure or artificial intelligence.

In this context, representatives from the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC) had the opportunity to present the AgroSpace project to a significant number of stakeholders and key sector players.

The Space Economy Congress 2026 is organised by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Government of Catalonia, with the collaboration of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC), the i2CAT Research Centre, and the KIMbcn Foundation as associate organisers.
