Through representatives of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC), the Institut Agro Montpellier and Symington Family Estates, the AgroSpace Consortium took part in the 16th edition of the TerClim Congress and the 3rd ClimWine Symposium, held on the campus of the École supérieure des agricultures (ESA) in Angers (France).
From 6 to 9 July 2026, the congress brought together researchers, professionals and experts from the viticulture and winemaking sector to discuss the latest advances in vineyard and terroir management, sustainability, productivity improvement and, most importantly, adaptation and resilience strategies for climate change. The event also included field visits that provided valuable insight into how innovative techniques and the results of various research projects are being implemented directly in vineyards.

The presentations and panel discussions highlighted the growing need for advanced tools and data-driven approaches to support decision-making in agriculture. In this context, AgroSpace has much to offer, demonstrating how space technologies and Earth observation solutions can contribute to agricultural management and research, helping stakeholders address the unique challenges facing the grape and wine sector.
Events like TerClim16 reinforce the importance of collaboration between the scientific community, industry and technology providers to build more sustainable, resilient and productive agricultural systems for the future.
