On 4 and 5 November 2026, the European project RESINSURF will hold its final event at Advanced Manufacturing Madrid, at IFEMA Madrid. The event is co-organised by AIAS — Association of Surface Finishing Industries and CIDETEC Surface Engineering.
The trade fair provides a strategic setting for bringing the project closer to surface-treatment companies, manufacturers of chemicals and equipment, technology centres, research organisations and industrial users. In its Surface Treatments area, Advanced Manufacturing Madrid brings together solutions related to coatings, electrodeposition, corrosion protection and other key processes for sectors such as automotive, aerospace, energy and industrial manufacturing.
In this context, RESINSURF, coordinated by CIDETEC Surface Engineering and implemented within the Interreg Sudoe programme, promotes safer and more sustainable alternatives to treatments based on hexavalent chromium, together with monitoring solutions that support a green and digital transition.
4 November: technical session and round table
On 4 November, from 15:00 to 17:00, the Tech Forum in Hall 2 will host the session:
Surfaces that comply today and compete tomorrow: competitive surface treatments in a demanding regulatory environment
The programme will include:
- Talks on sustainability, innovation and industrial adaptation by ABB, Gaches Chimie and TECNOCROM.
- Presentation of the results of RESINSURF’s two industrial pilots: the Spanish pilot with TITANIA and the French pilot with Chrome Dur Industriel.
- Presentation of the monitoring developments by CIDETEC Surface Engineering.
- Round table “From regulatory compliance to competitiveness: a dialogue on the future of surface treatments”, with ABB, TECNOCROM, the University of Cadiz, Chemplate, TITANIA and CIDETEC Surface Engineering.
From 17:00, a cocktail reception will provide an opportunity to continue exchanging experiences and create new networking opportunities.
5 November: demonstrations and networking
On 5 November, from 10:00 to 13:00, the Demo & Coffee Networking Hub will take place at the AIAS/RESINSURF stand, located in Hall 2, in the Surface Treatments area.
Attendees will be able to see live demonstrations, discover the results of the pilots in Spain and France, learn about the monitoring developments and connect with the RESINSURF partners and collaborators in a networking environment accompanied by coffee and pastries.
The final event will provide an opportunity to present concrete solutions and discuss how to move from regulatory compliance towards competitiveness based on innovation, efficiency and sustainability.
