1st RePo-Webinar - Exploring Biological Patterns to Enhance Drug Repurposing Through Pathway-Based Strategies

🚀 The RePo-Webinars are here!

As part of the RePo-SUDOE project, we are launching a new series of online seminars focused on drug repurposing — a key strategy to discover new therapeutic uses for existing medicines. Throughout the year, professionals from the scientific and technological fields will share methods, tools, and experiences that are making a difference in this area.

With this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to the dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of innovative technologies, especially among the stakeholders of the SUDOE space.

🎤 First session: Belén Otero Carrasco

We’re excited to introduce the first speaker of the series: Belén Otero Carrasco, postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM).

In this session, Belén will talk about the use of biological patterns to enhance drug repurposing through pathway-based strategies, an innovative approach that combines systems biology with computational analysis.

This method makes it possible to identify functional patterns within key molecular pathways, opening the door to new therapeutic uses for already existing drugs. A promising tool that not only accelerates drug development but also makes it more efficient and sustainable, with great potential impact in the field of health.
