El proyecto STOP-IATRO, que reúne a 6 organizaciones de 3 países europeos, busca sensibilizar a los profesionales de la salud sobre los riesgos de la iatrogenia en las personas mayores. A través de estrategias colectivas basadas en las recomendaciones de la OMS, el proyecto pretende evitar complicaciones médicas que puedan llevar a la pérdida de autonomía. Se enfoca en identificar obstáculos, desarrollar una estrategia inclusiva, ofrecer programas de formación y llevar a cabo acciones piloto para mejorar la calidad de los cuidados y prevenir los efectos adversos de los tratamientos médicos.

The STOP-IATRO project, which brings together 6 organizations from 3 European countries, aims to raise awareness among healthcare professionals about the risks of iatrogenesis in older people. Through collective strategies based on WHO recommendations, the project seeks to prevent medical complications that can lead to a loss of autonomy. It focuses on identifying obstacles, developing an inclusive strategy, providing training programs, and carrying out pilot actions to improve the quality of care and prevent the adverse effects of medical treatments.
