The European project AGROBOTICS-DITWINS, funded by the INTERREG SUDOE programme with more than €1.7 million, drives the digital transformation of the agricultural sector through the integration of advanced robotics and digital twins. Its goal is to bring these technologies closer to agricultural SMEs in Southwestern Europe, fostering a more efficient, sustainable, and competitive agriculture. Through Living Labs, the project enables direct experimentation between farmers and researchers, reducing technological and economic barriers. Coordinated by an international consortium of universities, technology centres, and business associations, AGROBOTICS-DITWINS contributes to the goals of the European Green Deal, promoting the transition towards a smart and climate-neutral agriculture.
El proyecto europeo AGROBOTICS-DITWINS, financiado por el programa INTERREG SUDOE con más de 1,7 millones de euros, impulsa la transformación digital del sector agrÃcola mediante la integración de robótica avanzada y gemelos digitales. Su objetivo es acercar estas tecnologÃas a las pymes agrÃcolas del suroeste de Europa, promoviendo una agricultura más eficiente, sostenible y competitiva. A través de Living Labs, el proyecto facilita la experimentación directa entre agricultores e investigadores, reduciendo las barreras tecnológicas y económicas. Coordinado por un consorcio internacional de universidades, centros tecnológicos y asociaciones empresariales, AGROBOTICS-DITWINS contribuye a los objetivos del Pacto Verde Europeo, fomentando la transición hacia una agricultura inteligente y climáticamente neutra.

On October 10 and 11, 2025, the Geothermal Seminar 2025 was held at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, organized by the Portuguese Environmental Geotechnics Commission and led by Professor LuÃs Ferreira Gomes from the ThermEcoWat project, with the participation of Elsa Ramalho from LNEG.
