Thermauvergne welcomed the European delegation of the ThermEcoWat project on 19 and 20 June 2024 for a workshop dedicated to data management and a study visit on the use of thermal waters for energy purposes.
The participants
After the launch of the project at the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Council in Lyon in March 2024, the delegation, composed of 15 elected officials and territorial technicians from France, Spain and Portugal, participated in working sessions in Royat and a field visit in Evaux-les-Bains.
The program
On Wednesday 19 June 2024, the participants attended two working sessions during which they learned about the methodologies for building the project’s common knowledge base and were introduced to the corresponding decision support tool.
The session on Thursday, June 20, 2024 focused on the definition of the criteria for classifying information in the knowledge base and on the presentation of the development projects of the city of Evaux-les-Bains by Jean-Claude Saintemartine, Deputy Mayor, and of the Evaux-les-Bains Thermal Baths by Eugénie Ogar, Director of the Thermal Baths.
The energy aspect was addressed by Thomas Bourlon, consultant at NB Energie, before the group ended the day with a visit to the Evaux-les-Bains thermal baths, including its facilities and its unique energy platform in France.
The 2nd transnational workshop of the ThermEcoWat project will be held in Caldès de Montbui, Spain from 22 to 24 October 2024.
