The third Interreg Sudoe call for projects, which closed on 30 September, paves the way for a new type of project: capitalisation projects.
What is the objective of these projects?
Sudoe capitalisation projects are intended to bring together a community of classic projects around a common theme. They will collect, analyse and promote the results of Sudoe 2014–2020 and 2021–2027 projects, and potentially others, that have provided solutions in one of the three targeted themes, which reflect challenges for the Sudoe territory:
- Theme 1: Water resource management
- Theme 2: Agricultural/forestry resources and sectors
- Theme 3: Ageing population
10 applications ready to take on the challenge
10 applications have positioned themselves to be the first to lead these communities of standard projects:
- 3 applications on water resource management
- 4 applications on agricultural/forestry resources and sectors
- 3 applications on the ageing population
Next steps
These applications will be co-assessed by the National Authorities and the Joint Secretariat over the coming weeks.
At this stage, it is expected that the Monitoring Committee will decide on the selection of the projects in mid-December, to allow the successful projects to begin their activities from January 2027.
