Joint Pilot Action: Developing and Experimenting with Heritage Tools
This Joint Pilot Action focuses on the development and experimentation of two key tools:
Heritage Schemes: A comprehensive valorization tool based on a holistic approach to heritage.
Heritage Identity Training: A transmission tool built on a technological platform and training activities aimed at “heritage transmitters.”
Pilot Activities and Territories
Pilot activities will be carried out in eight intervention territories across the three SUDOE countries:
Matarraña region (Spain)
Salazar Valley (Spain)
Valle de Ribes-El Ripollès (Spain)
Douro Area (Spain)
Pays de Béarn (France)
Pyrénées Haut Garonnaises territory (France)
Neiva Valley (Portugal)
Minho River Valley (Portugal)
Exploitation Pathways
These pilot activities are structured around different exploitation pathways:
Sustainable Tourism Promotion
Social Cohesion/Inclusion
Pedagogical/Educational Offerings
Engaging “Heritage Transmitters”
The pilot activities will train more than 400 “heritage transmitters” and involve a wide range of professionals and local stakeholders:

Education Professionals
Environmental Professionals
Media Professionals
Public Administration Technicians
Evaluation Activities
Furthermore, the pilot activities include evaluation activities to measure the capacity to:
Valorize Territorial Heritage
Strengthen the Identity of the territories
Facilitate the transmission and appropriation of heritage to different audiences
Support sustainable revitalization and promotion of the territories
Specifically, the evaluation will analyze:
The processes and support systems for valorizing Territorial Heritage, through adapting the content of the Heritage Schemes and using complementary tools.
The training plans and actions related to Heritage Identity.
