The University of Toulouse, speaker at the Water Reuse Europe Knowledge Exchange Day

The event in Brussels brought together a wide range of experts, researchers, and representatives from organisations involved in water management.

The University of Toulouse, coordinator of the SOLLAGUA research project, took part as a speaker at the Knowledge Exchange Day 2025, organised by the Water Reuse Europe (WRE) foundation on 21 October in Brussels.

This annual event gathers a broad community of experts, researchers, and representatives from organisations linked to water management. Its main goal is to provide a forum for sharing research results, presenting innovative tools, and fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and public authorities.

This year’s edition placed particular emphasis on the impact of water reuse projects funded by the European Union and national governments, highlighting the growing importance of sustainable and circular solutions for efficient water management at all levels.

SOLLAGUA European Tour: Connecting Regions and Ideas

Since the launch of the initiative, the SOLLAGUA consortium has actively taken part in events and conferences across Portugal, Spain, France, and Belgium. These activities aim to share progress within its work plan, including the installation of demonstrators and the publication of technical studies, as well as to explore new opportunities for collaboration at different levels. Through this outreach, SOLLAGUA reinforces its mission to promote the sustainable management and reuse of water resources across Europe.
