On 10 and 11 March 2026, with a welcome session held on 9 March, the e‑Rigation SUDOE project consortium met in Périgueux (France) to hold a new coordination meeting.

This meeting brought together the project partners with the aim of advancing the development of innovative solutions to improve efficient water management in agriculture, one of the main challenges within the SUDOE area.

Monitoring progress and planning next steps

During the working sessions, partners presented the progress status of the different technical activities, reviewed the implementation of project deliverables, and analysed the upcoming milestones. Key issues related to project management, communication and overall coordination were also addressed, in order to ensure effective and well‑aligned implementation among all partners.

These working sessions contributed to strengthening transnational cooperation, a fundamental element for achieving the project’s objectives within the SUDOE territory.

Experience exchange at local level

The meeting programme also included a study visit to a local agricultural farm, allowing participants to gain first-hand insight into water management practices and solutions applied in the region.

Such activities facilitate the exchange of knowledge among partners and contribute to a more effective transfer of results to sector stakeholders.

Towards a more sustainable and resilient agriculture

The e‑Rigation SUDOE project thus continues to move forward in promoting more sustainable agricultural models, encouraging a more efficient use of water resources and supporting the adaptation of the agri‑food sector to the challenges arising from climate change.
