Cabeza del Buey (Extremadura) to Host International Seminar in November to Showcase Rock Art with New Technologies and Full Accessibility

The Extremaduran municipality of Cabeza del Buey (Badajoz) will host the International Training Seminar “Showcasing Rock Art with New Technologies and Full Accessibility” on November 10, 11, and 12, 2026. This professional gathering will bring together European specialists in the conservation, dissemination, and management of prehistoric heritage. The event is part of the TupART project, an initiative of the Interreg Sudoe program that unites territories in Spain, France, and Portugal to promote new ways of interpreting, protecting, and communicating humanity’s earliest art. The training is organized by the Cabeza del Buey City Council, the Regional Government of Extremadura, and the Santander International Entrepreneurship Center (CISE-UCEIF).

The seminar is part of TupART’s strategy to strengthen the connection between territories with rock art, promote innovation in its dissemination and encourage the creation of professional networks that guarantee its long-term preservation.
