“BIOMASA 360° IN NAVARRA. Empowering the region to transform local forest resources into opportunities” is the theme of this year’s training event for local organisations and stakeholders. This second edition, like the first, has been organised in collaboration with the Navarre Biomass Office as part of the 2nd Navarre Climate Week.

At a time when sustainable forest management, fire prevention, the mobilisation of forest resources and the use of biomass are becoming increasingly important, this event will bring together representatives from public administrations, local organisations, forest owners, companies in the forestry and timber sector, biomass users and other key stakeholders in the value chain.

Alternatives and solutions for local forest management will be presented, along with initiatives and projects currently being developed in Navarre, as well as experiences in biomass utilisation and other outcomes of the BIO4RES project. A round-table discussion with representatives of the various stakeholders involved in the management, utilisation and consumption of forest resources will bring the morning session to a close.

The day will conclude in the afternoon with a technical visit to the area affected by the fire in Ezcabarte in June 2026, where participants will be able to see first-hand some of the challenges and opportunities associated with forest management and fire prevention.
