On 12 and 13 February 2025, HITTS partners will meet in the city of Tomar, Portugal, for the third transnational meeting. This programme, co-financed by the Interreg SUDOE programme, aims to promote social cohesion and territorial development through social innovation, heritage enhancement and sustainable tourism.
The meeting will be organised by the Comunidade Intermunicipal do Médio Tejo. Representatives of the 8 beneficiary entities of the project will participate, including organisations from Spain, Portugal and France, which will allow for a diverse and enriching exchange.
Among the planned activities, working sessions and workshops will address key issues for the development of the project, such as the choice of the 15 good examples of the SUDOE territory, the finalisation of the activities of WG1 and the launching of WG2. These meetings allow partners to share good practices, reinforce synergies and advance in the development of common methodologies applicable in different contexts.
The next project meeting is scheduled for July 2025 in the Salt Valley of Añana, Basque Country-Spain, where work will continue on sustainability and tourism strategies, as well as the exchange of experiences in the management of cultural and natural heritage.
