San Lorenzo Church in Úbeda hosted the presentation of the HITTS Strategy, an initiative co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe Programme that promotes cultural heritage as a tool for fostering the sustainable development of territories.
During the event, the project’s main lines of action were presented, focusing on innovation, participatory governance, territorial cohesion, sustainability and local entrepreneurship. The strategy also supports responsible tourism models closely linked to the cultural identity of each territory.
The event provided an opportunity to showcase the experience developed at the San Lorenzo heritage complex, which has become a benchmark for heritage restoration and cultural revitalisation, as well as the initiatives aimed at improving its accessibility and inclusive character.
The meeting concluded with several cultural activities that highlighted the role of heritage as a space for encounter, participation and development for local communities.
