REMAIN partners met on 30 September to review the latest progress, assess the results achieved and coordinate upcoming activities as the project moves towards its final phase.
The meeting provided an opportunity to share progress across the different areas of work, focused on developing new technological solutions to advance the remanufacturing of industrial products and contribute to more circular and sustainable production models.
During the online meeting, partners shared updates on the technical work, paying particular attention to the integration of the different technologies into the global demonstrator, one of the project’s main achievements, as well as the local tests carried out. The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the recent presentation of the demonstrator at SIMAC Tanning Tech, a leading international showcase for technology in the sector, where REMAIN’s progress in applying robotics to remanufacturing processes was presented.
Beyond the technical achievements, the meeting highlighted the consortium’s efforts to bring REMAIN’s innovations to the market. In recent months, the project has stepped up its dissemination activities through high-level scientific publications and participation in conferences and workshops. These activities have been complemented by a programme of initiatives designed to transfer the results directly to businesses, maximising the project’s real-world impact.
Among these initiatives is the Ecodesign Guide, a practical tool designed to facilitate the integration of sustainability criteria from the earliest stages of design. Available in Spanish, French, Portuguese and English, the guide brings together methodologies, tools and success stories to support the integration of ecodesign into remanufacturing processes. Interested individuals and companies can request a copy by emailing remain.info@inescop.es.
This guide will be complemented by a Policy Brief, designed to translate REMAIN’s main conclusions and scientific and technical results into public policy recommendations, helping to maximise the project’s impact.
With the upcoming milestones and the project’s final event already in sight, REMAIN is entering a key phase to complete its developments, showcase the results achieved and continue bringing innovation in robotics and remanufacturing closer to industry across the Sudoe area.
