THERMAUVERGNE presented ThermEcoWat, a European cooperation project of the Interreg Sudoe 21-27 programme, at the National Meetings of the French Thermal and Climatic Federation in Gréoux-les-Bains.

The Programme of the National Thermal Baths Meeting in Gréoux-les-Bains from 6 to 8 November 2024

  • Several plenary sessions bringing together the various players in the sector around key themes.

A plenary session on “European cooperation initiatives carried out by the thermal sector” 

This plenary, initially focused on a comparison between France and Italy, has evolved to address recent initiatives of European cooperation in the field of thermal baths. These interdisciplinary and transnational projects, involving a network of European partners, address major issues such as the monitoring of thermal water quality, adaptation to climate change and the ecological transition of thermal regions. The session highlighted innovative initiatives carried out by the French thermal sector, thus offering new perspectives for thermalism, both at national and European level, and responding to the current challenges of sustainability and resilience of territories.

  • Towards transnational cooperation between France and Italy by Aldo Ferruzzi, Vice-President of Federterme – Interreg ALCOTRA and Alpine Space Programmes
  • The conclusions of Jean-Yves Gouttebel, interdepartmental coordinator for Thermalism. European cooperation initiatives support the ecological transition and sustainability of French spas, reinforcing France’s role as a leader in thermal innovation in Europe.
