Part of the project consortium took part in this leading conference on water reuse in the Mediterranean region.

The SOLLAGUA project participated in the Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Water Reuse (REUSE-EuroMed 2026), held from 17 to 19 June in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid). The event brought together dozens of representatives from public administrations, research organisations, companies and other key stakeholders involved in the sustainable management of water resources.

During the conference, representatives of the SOLLAGUA consortium presented the main achievements and results of this research initiative. In particular, Magali Gerino from the University of Toulouse, Claire Albasi, Research Director at CNRS, and Catarina Cruz from Técnico Lisboa — who received a special mention for her contribution to the session on Legal Aspects and Governance — discussed some of the most significant concepts developed within the framework of SOLLAGUA.

Among the topics highlighted were the role of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) as a sustainable alternative for wastewater reuse, the decision tree developed to support the selection of solutions tailored to different contexts, and the NB-WoLL (Nature-Based Water-Oriented Living Labs) strategy, one of SOLLAGUA’s key methodological pillars.

In addition to the presentations, the project featured an information stand in the exhibition area of the National Centre for Agricultural Training (CENCA), where attendees had the opportunity to learn first-hand about its objectives, activities and main achievements.

This participation forms part of the final phase of the SOLLAGUA project, which continues to work towards promoting innovative and sustainable models for water management and reuse.
