We’re implementing ICOPE and e-DENT tools in rural areas to identify the oral health status of target audiences. This allows us to offer a personalized oral health prevention pathway to each individual, based on the data collected by these tools. This organized approach will help us identify unmet needs in territories lacking oral health professionals, enabling public health structures to deploy the necessary services.
Identifying the need for care is the first step in meeting demand. For oral health pathologies, which are almost entirely preventable through a healthy diet and good oral hygiene, linking needs identification with a personalized prevention course ensures that each patient receives health promotion messages tailored to their specific situation and needs.
