Design and development of 6 pilot actions to test the AgriDemoLab methodology.

Summary

Description

The AGRITECH project will develop 6 pilot actions to apply the “AgriDemoLab” methodology in 6 different territorial and crop contexts: P1 Nouvelle-Aquitaine – Viticulture, P2 Occitania – agroecological transition and territorialized food systems across various crops, P3 Extremadura – Irrigation and fertilization management in fruit and vegetable crops (tomato, pepper, and woody crops), P4 Andalusia – Fruit growing (subtropical crops: avocado and mango), P5 Navarre – Fertilization management in “precision agriculture” for extensive crops, and P6 Western PT – Fruit growing (pear).

In each pilot action, the “AgriDemoLab” methodology will be applied through the following process: (1) needs analysis of the participating small farms, (2) development of small, low-cost “demonstrators” on the farms themselves, managed by the farmers, and (3) transfer of results to other small farmers in the target sub-sectors through visits to the demonstrators, small training sessions, peer-to-peer meetings, and testimonial videos.

The pilot actions will be evaluated throughout the entire process, and the evaluation results will be compiled in the “Report on the results of the AgriDemoLab methodology application” (E2.1) document.
