This involves the adoption and implementation of 1 “Pilot Action” to verify, test, and evaluate the “Strategy” (methodology) and “Action Plan” defined in previous phases by the consortium on how an “RS-Lab (Social and Digital Innovation Laboratory in depopulated rural areas)” should be and function, applied within the project’s intervention area in the cross-border territory of the Interreg SUDOE Program (201-2027).
As a result of the development of the “Pilot Action” in the province of Tarragona (ES), as well as its replication in Portuguese and French territories, a “Solution” will be obtained that will be adopted by at least one entity with intervention capacity in its territory, in each of the participating countries (Spain, Portugal, and France). This “Solution” derived from the “Pilot Action” will allow for the strengthening of territories, as common models of business development and promotion of the local-rural entrepreneurship ecosystem focused on the economy of those over 55 (“RSE Rural Silver Economy”) can be used. Likewise, this “Solution” will enable rural territories with similar characteristics and challenges to share experiences and grow by feeding off each other, all thanks to a common work model or methodology based on the “Strategy” developed and tested in this project.
The SUDOE Program’s RC084 indicator adopted by this project will be carried out in:
The matrix “Pilot Action” will be in the province of Tarragona (Spain).
The replicated “Pilot Actions” will be in: the province of Burgos (Castilla y León Spain); in the province of Pontevedra (Galicia Spain); in the Nut III AVE (North Region of Portugal); in the Algarve region (Portugal); and in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions (France).
Therefore, there are 3 Spanish regions, 2 Portuguese, and 2 French. This territorial balance can be extended and capitalized upon.
