Phase 1 Emergency actions for stabilization (WG1). Phase 1 of the pilot actions for hydro-forest recovery in GIF-affected areas across the three SUDOE regions will be developed, where optimized emergency measures for soil stabilization and post-fire erosion mitigation will be implemented. The design of these measures will be supported by the quantitative evaluation provided by the WebGIS platform and the computational rain-runoff-erosion simulation tool. Likewise, the results obtained on the ground in the three SUDOE regions will be evaluated.
Phase 2 Medium-term recovery management (WG2). Phase 2 of the pilot actions will be developed, where correction, monitoring, and evaluation actions for medium-term hydro-forest recovery will be implemented. In this phase, the development and application of a hydro-morpho-ecological digital twin for each pilot area will be carried out and fed back with in-situ data measured in the field.
