WP2, within the framework of Activity A.2.2 led by BP1, includes the implementation of an experimental and demonstrative pilot for phosphorus (P) salt recovery from different waste streams, namely urban wastewater at VEOLIA’s facilities (B8) and agro-industrial residues from the olive oil industry, while also assessing its application in different environments. To ensure the transferability of the results to other scenarios and regions, the activity includes techno-economic studies involving wastewater treatment plants of different sizes and locations, as well as agricultural waste streams commonly found across the SUDOE area (e.g., livestock slurry). In this way, ENDORSE ensures that the project outputs will be reproducible and applicable beyond the project’s lifetime, by other waste-stream producers and in contexts outside the current consortium. The results will contribute to the development of the transnational strategy and action plan under WP3 and will be transferred to other institutions and territories through Activity A3.4.
