The main objective of the IMIP project is to design, validate and implement an ecological building system based on natural biological materials to improve energy efficiency in public buildings. One of the main products produced is a BIM plug-in to incorporate the life cycle benefits of the materials used such as carbon stock. This tool will be used mainly by professionals in the building sector and researchers to assess the carbon footprint of buildings. Thus, the project contributes to the mitigation of climate change by increasing the use of wood and cork products in the construction and rehabilitation of public buildings thanks to its high energy efficiency and carbon storage capacity.
